What Is an L-Bar Sealer?
An L-bar sealer (also called an L-sealer) wraps a product in shrink film and seals it on two sides using an L-shaped sealing bar, trimming the excess film in the same motion. The sealed package is then typically sent through a shrink tunnel to shrink the film tight around the product.
Manual, Semi-Automatic, and Automatic Models
L-bar sealers range from manual tabletop units for low-volume operations to semi-automatic and fully automatic in-line systems for high-throughput production. The right model depends on your daily volume, product size range, and how much of the process you want automated.
Common Applications
- Retail and e-commerce product bundling
- Food packaging (non-food-contact applications)
- Printed materials, media, and multi-packs
- Industrial and hardware kitting
