Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how orders from US Packing Equipment LLC ("US Packing Equipment," "we," "us," "our") are shipped and delivered. It forms part of our Terms of Service & Terms of Sale (Sections 5 and 6) and works together with our Return & Refund Policy.

1. Every order is placed via written quote

All orders are placed via a written quote. Before you pay, your quote states:

• shipping and handling charges, including any handling fee charged by the manufacturer,
• crating charges, if the equipment ships in a wooden crate,
• any delivery services you have requested, such as liftgate, inside, residential or limited-access delivery,
• the estimated lead time.

The lead time is the time until the equipment ships from the manufacturer. Transit time is added. Lead times are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. If we cannot ship within the stated lead time, you may cancel your order free of charge, as described in Section 5.2 of our Terms of Service & Terms of Sale.

2. Shipped directly from the manufacturer

We do not hold inventory. Every order ships directly from the manufacturer's facility to your delivery address; Omcan products, including Turbovac machines, ship from Omcan's U.S. warehouses. We ship only to delivery addresses in the United States.

3. Shipping methods

• Parcel shipments: Smaller machines ship by parcel carrier, for example FedEx.
• LTL freight: Larger machines ship by LTL (less-than-truckload) freight, usually packed in a wooden crate.

Ripack products ship directly from Ripack's facilities in the Chicago area, Illinois, by UPS or LTL freight. Multicover and Turbopack systems ship by LTL freight; freight is quoted before you pay. Propane cylinders are shipped empty. Ripack spare-parts orders under $50 carry a $25 handling charge plus shipping.

AIE products ship from AIE in City of Industry, California, by UPS or LTL freight. Freight is quoted before you pay.

Omcan products ship from Omcan's U.S. warehouses by parcel carrier or LTL freight. Freight is quoted before you pay.

Bulman products ship from Bulman in Grand Rapids, Michigan, by parcel carrier or LTL freight; packing tables and assembled racks ship by LTL freight (truck). Freight is quoted before you pay.

Your quote states which shipping method applies to your order.

4. Delivery conditions

• Freight deliveries are made to a business address with a loading dock or forklift.
• Liftgate, inside, residential or limited-access delivery is available only if it is included in your quote. These services are charged extra.
• Unless liftgate delivery is included in your quote, you are responsible for unloading the equipment from the truck. You are also responsible for moving the equipment into place and installing it.

5. Inspect your delivery

Inspect every delivery immediately on arrival, if possible while the driver is still present. Note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt or bill of lading before you sign it. Report any damage, defect, missing item or wrong item to us in writing, with photos, within 5 business days of delivery (for Ripack products: within 3 business days of delivery; for Omcan products: damage within 24 hours of delivery and missing items within 3 business days of delivery). All details are set out in Sections 2 and 3 of our Return & Refund Policy.

6. Title and risk of loss

Title and risk of loss pass to you when the manufacturer (for Omcan products: Omcan) hands the equipment over to the carrier. We will nevertheless file and manage any carrier claim for transport damage on your behalf, provided you follow the inspection and reporting rules in Section 5 above (see Section 5.4 of our Terms of Service & Terms of Sale).

7. Returns

Do not send returns to our Dallas business mailing address. It is a mailing address only. Returns are accepted only with our prior written Return Authorization and must be shipped to the address we provide, as described in our Return & Refund Policy.
